A rising star of television and film, Bobby Coleman began acting at the age of 5, following in the footsteps of his big sister Holliston Coleman (Bless The Child, Miss Lettie and Me, Love's Unending Legacy). Bobby has appeared in a wide variety of national commercials and has landed numerous guest-starring roles on popular TV shows like JAG and Medium. Beginning in the fall of 2005, Bobby could be seen on primetime television, starring as Lake Bell's on-screen son “Jesse” in the NBC sci-fi drama series Surface (now available on DVD).

Most notably, Bobby booked his first big-screen leading role in New Line Cinema's heartwarming comic drama Martian Child, which landed in theaters across the United States on November 2, 2007. In Martian Child, John Cusack stars as a widowed science fiction writer who adopts a young boy in an effort to create a family after the tragic death of his wife. Trouble begins, however, when the boy claims he is from Mars. The new father ignores some sage advice about the perils of parenthood from his sister and gets more than he bargained for after a series of strange occurrences lead him to believe the child's claim may actually be true. Bobby has the title role in this film, starring as the troubled orphan. Based on an award-winning short story by sci-fi luminary David Gerrold, Martian Child is directed by Menno Meyjes and co-stars Amanda Peet, Joan Cusack, Sophie Okonedo, and Oliver Platt.
